Jewelry that contains at least 950 parts per thousand of pure platinum may be marked or described as "Platinum".

Jewelry that contains 850, 900 or 950 parts per thousand of pure platinum may be marked "Pt" if a number is used in front of the term to disclose the amount of pure platinum in the mix, such as :"Pt850", "Pt950" , "Pt1000"

Why platinum is expensive?

The characteristics of platinum include "high durability and heat resistance" and "difficulty in deterioration".

Due to these excellent properties, platinum is recognized as a precious metal that is in high demand not only in Japan also worldwide.
