Types of Gold Color

Gold in its purest form is of slightly reddish yellow color.

It is the most preferred one since ages for jewelry and coins.

White Gold

The silvery white shade of gold is an alloy of pure gold and at least one white metal (generally nickel, silver, or palladium).

White gold can also be created with gold and platinum.

A common white gold composition consists of 75% gold and 10% nickel along with copper added occasionally.

Like yellow gold, white gold purity is also measured in karats.

It is more durable and scratch-resistant than yellow gold.

Due to its color and durability, white gold is sometimes preferred over platinum to create any diamond or gemstone jewelry.

Pink gold

The pinkish hue of gold known as pink gold is alloyed with gold, copper, and silver.

A common formulation of K18 pink gold is 75% of pure gold with 22% copper and 2.75% silver.

The only difference between red, pink, and pink gold is the amount of copper in it, which is why the names are often used interchangeably.

K22 pink gold, being the highest karat version of it is known as crown gold.

Due to its copper quantity, pink gold is more durable than yellow or white gold.

And because of its durability and pinkish shine, pink gold jewelry is more popular, and is commonly used for engagement rings,

bracelets, and other jewelry items.

So which type of gold is best for jewelry ?

The answer would be all the first three of them.

Yellow gold is the most common and favorite choice depending on the availability of various designs and purity.

If you want highest purity gold, you can buy gold coins in K24 gold and K22 gold as well.

People who don’t love the yellow shade turned to white gold instead.

Pink gold is also making its place in all categories of jewelry and is preferred by all kinds of women for their trendy fashion.
